Just to tell you a little about myself:
I have always had an interest in art; probably because my Grandfather was a good artist and would show me some of the things he had drawn and show me how to copy cartoons. As I grew up I knew I really didn't have any great God given talent for art but still never lost interest and kept on drawing for my own satisfaction. One of my favorite things is to go to art museums to see what real artists can do and I'm always amazed. When I was in my fifties I decided to go to college and study art and I went to OCC. It was one of the best things I did for myself. Loved art history and learning some tricks about how to draw and paint. Loved pen and ink and did some of them and then did some acrylic and watercolor paintings, and all for myself.
Then one day last year while looking at this blank spot from a hockey sign that had been taken down on our back fence, I thought wouldn't it be fun to paint something there. I spoke to my son, DJ about it and he said I should paint somethings big. Hence the huge painting on our back fence as depicted on each of these website pages. Then DJ wanted a small wooden plaque for his "Man Cave" and I did that and my daughter wanted a couple wooden plaques for her back yard. DJ decided to post them on Facebook and kindly offered my services. To my surprise and delight, the orders came rolling in. Some people made specific requests and I found myself enjoying the challenge of putting their ideas together with a painting. As you can see by the paintings page I've been very busy painting over 150 plaques.
Everybody has been so supportive and I can't tell you how great its been and how good it makes me feel. I found my niche in life.
